so, kanato, i have some thoughts, to begin with lets talk about his appearence, i like to think that kanato has the kind of ethereal beauty, maybe bc he is the one who looks the most like his mother, so the beauty is serving. kanato has round eyes and long lashes, and his dark circles juts makes his gaze pop out.

i think kanato do not use sunscreen, he thinks its dumb since he is a vampire and tecnically dont age like a human so he isnt worried for that.

and since kanato has sensitive skin, i belive he also has some sensorial issues, like he can't stand someting itchy or to rough to the touch. kanato will literally burn it, he has to feel soft clothes, like cotton or silk, and yes, he loves silk, actually, kanato has slik sheets and pillows.

i think kanato has a normal sense of fashion, like i dont get why people sometimes put kanato in lolita or cute core or whatever, kanato really loves comfy clothes and more like "grandpa" clothes, like chunky sweaters, he likes to use belts and classic shoes, dont like sneakers.

and for his body, i think he does have wide shoulders, but he is skinny bc he dont excersize, it happens the same with the sunscreen, kanato think is dumb to excersize bc he has super strenght so he does'nt really need muscles to prove how powerful he is. kanato has big and slim hands, good cared nails. i also think kanato dont have a small waist, he has a more thick waist and prominent v line, but not so much like his brothers. i like to think that kanato has a mole on his side stomach.

so, i have a lot of thoughts in kanato.

james- I think he'd be a big fan of all the music of the now and maybe 10 ish years earlier. lots of sixties duwopy pop-rock like the beatles, the zombies and the turtles but also more contemporary stuff; Fleetwood Mac, Wings, the Pretty Things, Frank Zappa, the Eagles, Queen and Bowie (not glam, disco. so like thin white Duke era- not that he'd mind glam bowie I just think he'd prefer disco bowie)! also I think like Ambrosia and other 70s pop he'd dig.. but I think he would be totally in love with Fleetwood Mac, especially their album Mystery to Me- because it would remind him of lily. I think he, along with alice, would get lily more into fleetwood mac.

sirius - glam glam glam and then also punk from the late 70s-81.. also goth+post punk music (ie. the cure, echo and the bunnymen, the smiths, siouxsie and the banshees, depeche mode, joy division ect ect) but I always think of goth as sort of a mid-late 80s thing so I don't think he'd have really been exposed to alot of goth bands because he was. in jail... but I think David Bowie, T. Rex, Lou Reed, the Velvet Underground, and then like Television, Patti Smith, the Clash, Iggy Pop, the Stooges. yk.. but also a lot of what James listens to as well!:3 bc they r bff! also I think remus and sirius share great love for queen :)

peter - I don't think he really listens to music tbh, not in the way where he'd have favourites. just whatever is on the radio/the records his friends play!

alice - I think she lovessssss female artists and makes a point to listen to them. Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Janis Ian, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Kate Bush, Aretha Franklin, very varied but very girl, because I think Alice is a big fan of women doing things idk. bisexual moment 4 her. I think her and lily would also both share a really great love of Stevie Nicks and be like fanatics of hers.

frank - I think bro LOVES reggae idk. Bob Marley fan. culture/jimmy cliff/the gladiators. I also think he'd like a lot of "dad rock" bands, led zeppelin/steely dan/the eagles/the who/the kinks.. yar naur. he's a man❤️🙂‍↕️

severus - classical music snob, probably inherited from his mom. loathes rock n roll idk. seems like THAT SORT OF GUY..

regulus - lots of classical and jazz, but not in the way severus is like pretentious, I mean coming from a muscianship standpoint. I think he'd especially love miles davis jazz wise and beethoven+liszt classical music wise (ie. I think he'd have a great love for romantic music, even though beethoven isn't usually considered romantic- just LISTEN to moonlight sonata, it is DRIPPING with the emotion of romantic music).

Karaoke Night

Luffy

He’s starting off the night with a song. The first to volunteer without even a drop of alcohol in his body. Literally pulls you up on stage to sing with him. 

He’s SOOOOO bad. He’s always offkey but that makes you feel a little better because at least people’s ears already hurt so your voice doesn’t matter too much. 

He likes to sing the classic sea shanties and older stuff that everyone can sing along to (if it was our world he would be singing Journey and the old classic country music). He’s big on yelling “You guys know this part, sing along!” and holding out the mic for the crowd to join in.

When he’s not on stage singing, he’s either dancing or running around to all the groups of people mingling, asking if they’re going to sing

He always volunteers to be a partner if people are too nervous to sing along. He’s there to have fun and wants to make sure everyone else is having fun too :)

Zoro

Nope. This man is not singing. 

That's what he says. That’s what he promises. No way in hell he’s getting up on that stage. 

Until he gets about 10 tankards of ale in him. Then he’s climbing up on the stage ready to sing his HEART out. 

He sings loud and proud, and halfway through the song beckons you up to join him. If you don’t go, he’s going to jump down and slowly walk to you and serenade you. 

He’s probably going to sing some oldies song that’s deep and slow. Like Frank Sinatra or maybe even Johnny Cash. (I can imagine him absolutely nailing “And I did it….MYYYYYYY WAYYYYYYYYYY”)

At the start of the night he’s sitting in the corner alone, watching everyone carefully to make sure nobody tries to make a move on you or any other crew member, but by the end of the night he’s up, sitting with strangers and laughing and having the best time ever. 

Sanji

His eyes are always on whoever is singing…unless it’s a man. 

Sanji himself doesn’t sing, and he’s definitely not singing alone, but any time a lady goes up, Sanji’s asking if she needs a duet partner. He can’t let a lady sing alone, afterall. 

He’s more of the kind to just sit and enjoy the show, show support when he needs to, heckle when it’s one of the Strawhats up there. If he hears any mumbling or rude comments while a lady is up singing, he’s going to war. 

He can tell you kind of want to go sing, but you’re too nervous to go up or initiate asking, so eventually he pops the question and asks you to sing with him. 

You guys are definitely singing some kind of duet song. Definitely Troy/Gabriella vibes from that first scene in High School Musical. You both start out kind of nervous but by the end you’re only focused on eachother and you’re both into it. And you sound pretty good too! 

Nami

She’s definitely not the kind of person to start the singing, but she’ll do it with enough encouragement.

She’s not singing alone though. Unmless someone pays her to sing alone, she won’t. She doesn’t even like duets (she knows she’s not the strongest vocally and hates when people make fun of her).

She prefers group songs. Usually three or more gets her comfortable singing. Her, Usopp, and you know all the good music, so the three of you can sing some songs without even looking at the words. 

Early 2000’s music, especially R&B, are your alls go to. Rich Girl, Umbrella, SOS, all the bops that people that grew up during that time know and love. 

She is definitely a heckler when someone is singing badly too. She may not boo them off the stage but she WILL be laughing at them.

Usopp

He’s not singing. He has allergic-to-crowd-itis. No way is he going up on stage. 

Unfortunately, he's bad at betting, and Nami makes him go up. You offer to join him so it’s not as scary for him. 

He’s picking some random song that nobody has every heard of. If they don’t know what the original sounds like, they don’t know how good or bad it is. Mt. Joy, Portugal, The Man, Go Radio. Music that if you know, you LOVE. Upbeat folky music that’s easy to have a scratchy voice and be offkey.

After the first time, he realizes he actually had a lot of fun, and starts doing it with bigger groups. He even gets Nami and Luffy to join you all and you guys all sing a fun upbeat song.

When he’s not on stage, he’s laughing along with the boys and cheering on for whoever is on stage at the moment. Over-exaggerated screams of support and lots of clapping. 

Chopper

Terrified of the thought of being on stage. But he’s a supportive little guy, and he’ll do it if you do it. 

He walks up and hides behind you. Looking out at everyone in the crowd is so scary for him! Especially knowing how vicious Nami’s comments have been. 

Once the music gets started, his voice is a little shakey, but by the time the chorus rolls around, he’s into it! The whole crew is yelling cheers of encouragement to him and he really starts to get into it. 

I could see him really getting into some fun pop music. Katy Perry, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift. He doesn’t get why the songs are so aggressive but he loves scream singing with you

After the first song clears his nerves, it’s hard to keep him off the stage. He’s jumping into every group song there is. He loves the RUSH. 

Robin

You’re convicned this woman is not singing. Like she’s just not. I’m sorry. You can beg and plead all you want but shes not-

“Do you want to sing? Sure! I’ll try everything once!” And with that she puts her book down and walks up onto the stage.

You guys are going hard or going home. The slower songs of people like Adele, Miley Cyrus, Billie Ellish, Lizzy McAlpine. Voices that you KNOW you will fail at replicating or sounding better than, but that’s just her vocal range, and she’s actually pretty good!

She enjoys it, but once is enough for her. She might do it again if you or someone else asks, but it’s always going to be those hard to match songs. 

She is honestly so fulfilled watching everyone else take the stage and be absolute goofballs. She prefers to watch and laugh along with everyone from the back of the room, a part of the family but then not center of attention.

Franky

Frankie loves pop music and you can’t convince me otherwise. The second he hears a song he likes, he jumps up to be next in line. He’ll sing anything, but his first pick is pump up 2012’s music like One Republic, Tao Cruz, Imagine Dragons. 

He’s such a star when he sings too. Dancing around on stage, pulling you up to join him and serenading you. He can really put on a show for the audience. 

He definitely made adjustments to body to have little smoke [things] and little sparklers. It definitely starts a small fire.

He’s having a GREAT time and loves loves loves it. He knows it’s important to let everyone have their turn, but he’s almost always in the lineup for karaoke, whether it’s the two of you singing or with a group of people. He’ll sing with just about anybody (and he gets requests for it too)

When he’s not on stage, he’s talking to the other patrons (trying to get in with other groups to sing more) 

Brook

Brook…what can I say? He was born for this. And died for this. And came back to life for this. Brook has ALWAYS loved karaoke. It’s what got him into performing. 

He asks if you want to sing one of his songs with him (what an honor!), and he does his best not to steal the show. But he’s missed performing and he’s missed the crowd, so he goes overboard a little bit the first time. 

The crowd goes freaking insane. He gets so many comments about his voice, and he always does his best to say he only sounded better because you were with him. 

He likes to sing his own songs, but after a few rounds, he just lets you (or whoever he’s singing with) pick the music. He’s got a very specific range though and doesn’t like to go outside of it.

He’s surrounded by fans most of the time, and anytime he spends offstage is met by autographs and fans fauning over him, buying him drinks and trying to get him to notice them.

Jinbe

Jinbe does group singing only. He won’t sing alone, and he doesn’t really want to do duets either. Even group songs he doesn’t love. He’s not big on singing or being the center of attention. 

He will join people on the stage for a group performance though, but he will only join in for the chorus or moments where everyone is singing. 

He can tell you’re nervous about singing, so he stays close and gives you little words of encouragement as you’re singing with everyone. 

He’s so supportive from the crowd though when you go up without him! He always tells you how great you did and tells you his favorite part of every songs so you know that he was actually paying attention. 

He really just sits and enjoys the vibes. He’ll sing along from the crowd if he knows a song, but he’s just there for the atmosphere and to support his crew.

You know those aus? Where the characters are combined or 'fused?'

I've been thinking about that under the circumstances of a tmnt crossover fic. Where this combination is unwilling.

So the way I can see this going means it absolutely has to involve rise, which I also like because it allows for funky designs. Some mission in the hidden city, possibly involving big mama because ✨drama✨, and each boy is fused with their counterpart.

This can be very different depending on the iteration, so I'm just gonna write down vaguely I imagine each one being:

Leo: Slightly obsessive with training. He's passionate, but maybe a bit too much. He's a great strategist, but is unfortunately bad at explaining his plans to his brothers. The more anxious he is, the more talkative he becomes, usually spouting quips to distract himself. Has knowledge with a bunch of different weapons, but prefers the classic katanas.

Raph: Anxiety. This boy is stressed at all times, and the only way he knows how to mask it is by grouching, or hitting things. The people around him are infuriating, especially because they keep asking all these questions. Like, he's just one guy, why can't they get that? Raph carries both his sai and tonfa, but will more often fight with his tonfa.

Donnie: Very smart. Their brain processes information very fast. They like when things make sense. They're also the only fusion aware that they're a fusion, which, like Raph, they are not a big fan of. Their fusion is the least stable, defaulting to we/us and preferring they/them over he/him, though both are acceptable. They don't remember what each button on the tech bo does, but they do have a staff with a taser on each end as a comprimise.

Mikey: Wholsomest boy. The only reason he doesn't know about the fusion stuff is that the Aprils and Caseys don't want to burst his bubble, but they're all pretty sure he could take it. Big fan of art, he loves to cook as well but due to conflicting knowledge they don't do it as much as they would separately. He loves the extra long chain he gets from rise Mikey's kusari-fundo, so he uses that, though similar to the Raph's sometimes they'll carry around nunchaku as well.

So yeah, the supporting cast were not on this mission and thus were not turned. They received an emergency alert from rise donnie's systems while everybody was being fused, which is the only warning that they got.

It's mostly on Draxum to make a fix, but it's unfortunately not that simple because they're from different dimensions. Casey JR (is it alr if I call him June because I'm gonna fair warning it's instinct) tries to help where he can, but his knowledge is limited. There's a big argument between the Aprils over whether or not informing the Mikeys of the situation and letting them help would speed things up or not.

The issue with telling them, is Raph's very much denying the information. They know about it, but they refuse to listen. The Donnie's took a lot of convincing as well, and the topic clearly causes them a lot of distress, though they refuse to explain exactly why.

That's all I've got for right now. But if anyone wants to help me make this a solid au, please shoot me an ask. Please. I'm begging. I really want to have more to say about this but I need someone to pick my brain.

No way in hell this man isn't a swing fan. His playlist is exclusively 50's—70's and there is no coherent genre. If you listen to music with him you could be vibing to Marvin Gaye and then Elvis could come on.

Maxie

Pry Roar and The Front Bottoms from his cold, dead hands. Just BIG Folk Punk vibes from him. Also, a good amount of Alt-Rock. His guilty pleasure, though? Country music. He's probably the one that listens to the most music, just because he feels like the kind of guy that can't work without background noise.

Archie

Very well rounded, says he doesn't have a preference, but has a slight one for rock music. Specifically he enjoys 80s & 90s metal. He feels like the kind of guy to be really into Megadeth. Maybe sprinkle some Tech N9ne in there for flavor.

Cyrus

Realistically he's definitely a full Alternative fan. I think he's super into Weirdcore (See: Lemon Demon, Will Wood) but would never admit it. He also listens to Emo Rap and Russian Rap on occasion but doesn't really consider them favourites. He pretends he doesn't like music, though, so he only really gets to listen to what other people force him to.

Ghetsis

Screamo, next question—

Kidding, but he really does like screamo, metal, and hard rock. He'll pretend he only likes vague classical music to seem more mysterious and then you look at his history and it's all Slaughter to Prevail and Korn.

Colress

I like to think he doesn't really listen to music in his free time. He usually listens to whatever is on, which is usually Ghetsis's screamo. He keeps him from ruining speakers. He does enjoy Green Day, though, and some Olivia Rodrigo.

Lysandre

He really likes single instrument covers, especially violin. Absolute Lindsey Stirling fanboy. Also enjoys Lana Del Rey and MARINA a lot. Those kinds of pop artists, you know?

Guzma

He's definitely the most well-rounded with his tastes, mostly because he listens to a lot of it. He listens to a lot of pre-2010s hip-hop & rnb. He loves dance music and electronica as well, and generally just a lot of old school stuff. Anything from 2pac to Gewn Stefani, baby. Mood/genre-switched covers are also a thing, and just covers in general. Catch him in his room at 2am listening to egg on repeat (then back away awkwardly and shut the door because he gets too into it and starts crying).

Lusamine

Listens to a lot of what Lysandre does. Lorde, Billie Eilish, anything hard pop that can pass as alternative. Nobody will ever trust her with the aux/bluetooth/radio/etc. because she always plays music nobody likes. She once got into a fight with Cyrus on what is and isn't alternative music and he didn't speak to her for a month after.

my age when im small is kinda hard to pinpoint, but i would say somewhere between 3-5 most of the time!!

hm, i would say a day with one of my fictional cgs!! getting to play with the toys ive been wanting, color and draw, wear clothes that feel comfortable on my body, use teethers, bottles, diaps and pacis and watch my favorite shows without being judged or being embarrassed abt it :3 plus a nice warm bubble bath, baba of warm almond milk and a lullaby before bed!!

I feel like he’s such a natural hair guy, like he doesn’t have anything against wigs but this man gets brick, awooga, tongue falling outta mouth when he see natural hair especially when it’s done. CONCERTI PLEASEEEEE the one (1) piece(s) of classical music i can name is vivaldi's four seasons violin concertis (concertos?) and they are my favorites i listen to them so often they are wired into my brain. and i STILL can't tell the seasons apart because i am immune to telling apart instruments :) but anyway really would love to see your list ALSO please please ramble on about topics of your choice that's one of my favorite things you do!!

for violin concerti i have to give it up to brahms. i wasn't much of a brahms vln cto guy until i had to do it twice in orchestra in two years and then it grew on me. but also i'm an oboist and i'm biased because the middle movement is practically an oboe concerto as much as it is a violin concerto. anyway i also like tchaikovsky's violin concerto, mendelssohn's, and mozart no. 3. it will probably be more fruitful to ask a violinist for more suggestions because i don't listen to these very much but i know i have violin player mutuals so i'm calling on them to drop in the comments lol

PIANO CONCERTI. this is the other instrument that has like one million concerti out there. some of my favorites are beethoven 5 "emperor", tchaikovsky 1, and gershwin concerto in f :) (loooove the gershwin concerto). rhapsody in blue is sort of concerto like but it's not strictly a concerto i think. also shoutout to the ravel left hand piano concerto -- a very unique piece! he wrote it for a piano player who lost his right hand in world war i.

Lower strings - stamitz viola concerto! enough viola jokes, society has moved past the need for mean spirited viola jokes, it's a good instrument and this concerto is great. dvorak and saint-saens's cello concertos are about as standard and great as the come, but i think elgar is also great (even though it's not a style i usually prefer!). and as for bass, there's basically nothing as iconic as the bottesini concerto.

winds - i love me a good clarinet concerto. mozart's clarinet concerto (which was actually originally written for basset clarinet, an old type of clarinet with a slightly lower range and mellow tone) is classic and wonderful, but so are weber's clarinet concerti (i like no. 2!). the mercadante flute concerto is a lovely piece, i don't think it gets played that often but it's great. and the ferdinand david concertino for trombone!! really great. there are admittedly a lot of great concertos out there for horn, trumpet, bassoon, flute, etc. that i just don't know (sometimes i hear them on the radio but i don't catch the composer or work title)...but there's a lot out there, you can really just poke around until you find stuff you like

oboe - yes of course this gets its own section. you have asked an oboist for her choice of concertos. i am so biased here it's not funny. Anyway let's go chronological shall we. Starting with the marcello concerto. i think it usually gets played in d minor but i play it in c minor. do NOT @ me. next up is the mozart concerto which is pretty much just flat out required for every oboist to know if they want to do ANYTHING remotely professional in the world of oboe performance, it is THE standard rep for us. also do not @ me about not including the mozart flute concerto earlier because THAT'S THE SAME PIECE!! the flute concerto is just oboe concerto transposed up a step. LAME! anyway moving on. josef fiala is a kind of little known classical composer who has a few oboe concertos, i'm a fan of basically all of them. then there's my FAVE the kalliwoda concertino in f, it's so good, i played it for my senior recital. then getting into the 20th century there's the vaughan williams concerto which...i go back and forth on how i feel about it. it's lovely to listen to but it kicked my ass when i tried to learn it and i gave up on movement ii. also this isn't oboe but it's english horn which is like oboe's big brother, donizetti has an english horn concertino which i really like too, although finding out that it's disputed whether it should be in F or in G rocked my world (especially after i had gotten used to playing it in G and then tried it once in F and it broke my brain. i can't accept that it might be better in F...i can't...)

and then some WILD CARDS that i want to shout out because they're fun. the first two are double concertos: the mozart flute and harp concerto! and the fiala english horn and clarinet concerto! i think this combo is so weird and unique and great, i would LOVE to play this some day though i doubt that will ever happen.

you've heard of double concertos well now get ready for QUADRUPLE concerto. vivaldi wrote a concerto for four violins in b minor and it kind of rules. bach also arranged this for four harpsichords in a minor so you might also find that version. it took me forever to figure out who actually wrote the damn piece because i'd heard it both ways in multiple places

penultimate mention goes to the grunge oboe concerto, which attempts to answer the age old question, what if oboe music was emo/metal music. and then the final mention goes to this guy's specific performance of a vivaldi recorder concerto

A ship I have with said character: Dominic/Duncan... No surprise there lol. I'm just a sucker for the whole good guy/bad guy dynamic and the thought of Duncan trying to figure out what's up with Dominic and getting more horrified once he comes closer to the truth is quite interesting. I also think that he's one of those characters that could make him better as a person under the right circumstances! Another pairing I quite like for Dominic is him and Daschell Swank. Whereas Duncan could make him better, Daschell would make him worse lol. Like this would be the most over the top villain couple that would eventually get at each other's throats because they can no longer deal with each other's crap lmao!

A BROTP I have with said character: Lincoln and Dominic, I've seen some fun stuff of them over time and I can definitely imagine them brainstorming together and being book club buddies or some shit. Dominic and Kayleigh, Dominic and Hazel or Dominic and Vidcund are also friendships I can 100% imagine for different reasons. Dominic and Olive is also something I can imagine under very odd circumstances. Not necessarily friends, but definitely two people that would respect each other. Lastly Penelope Kline/Dominic of course, those two might as well be buddies because no way would Dominic trust his home to just anyone.

A NOTP I have with said character: Dominic/Circe and Dominic/Loki. Also Penelope/Dominic, I love the thought of them as good friends, but I'm not all that fond of them dating.

A random headcanon: Aside from enjoying old spy movies, this also translates to older music and decors. He's a sucker for Blues, Jazz and Classical Music. And while he enjoys anything from before the 2000s, his preference usually goes to anything from the 70s and below. On top of that he also isn't too big on animals. Does not hate them, but he likes keeping his home clean and tidy. He may have developed a soft spot for Duncan's dog at this point, but that's largely because the old pooch knows how to worm his way into your heart! Maybe if a stray cat keeps pestering him enough, his heart would open up to a pet of his own... He just has far too many walls build around him.

General Opinion over said character: Favourite character, hands down. And not just from Sims, I think he's definitely in my top 3 favourite characters of all time. He's just such a fascinating character and that while he's literally from a spin-off game from the PSP of all things haha! I love how much he delves into the whole Simulation Theory and Existential Dread and wish more people delved into that with him.
